Cardamom is associated with many plants that belong to the genera Amomum and Elettaria. It is also one of the main members of the ginger family called ‘Zingiberaceae’. Cardamom plantation is mostly found in the South Indian state of Kerala and Tamil Nadu. In India, the common word used for Cardamom is ‘Elaichi’.
Cardamom is mainly used for four different purposes such as –in food for taste, in perfumes for fragrance, in medicines for cure and in drinks for flavor. Well, an Indian Tea cannot be tastier without the use of cardamom in it.
Some of the main benefits of cardamom are mentioned here below –
1- Digestion – Consuming cardamom helps in the digestive process of a human body. All the waste and unwanted particles from the body are removed. It also helps people who are suffering from gas and flatulence.
