Cardamom Project – An Evergreen spice

Cardamom is known as the queen of spices and in India, it is called ‘Elaichi’. Cardamom helps in satisfying 4 purposes, which is food, drinks, perfumes and medicines. In food cardamom satisfies us by way of taste, in drinks by way of flavor, in perfumes by way of fragrance and in medicines by way of cure. Cardamom project is a very vast project mostly found in the Southern part of India, Bhutan and Nepal. Let us discuss the advantage of cardamom.

1- Cardamom helps in curing various illnesses, helps in improving the digestive system, relieve from heartburns, indigestion and bloating. It also helps in preventing infection in our stomach and also improves human appetite.

2- Cardamom when mixed in hot tea can greatly help in relief from headaches.

3- We can also have cardamom as a treatment for bad breath. It also helps in blood circulation and cleansing of our body.

4- Regularly consuming cardamom can help in solving any kind of kidney problems as well as any type of urinary related infections as it helps in removing all the excess urea, calcium and other poisonous toxins from inside a human body.

5- Indian Cardamom is rich in plenty of proteins and vitamins such as riboflavin, niacin, Vitamin A, Vitamin B and Vitamin C.

6- Sore throat can be cured by mixing a pinch of cardamom with cinnamon in a glass of lukewarm water and begin to gargle. Instant relief will be achieved.

There are plenty of Cardamom Mountains mostly in the Southern part of India. It was also mentioned that during the era of the Mughals, they could never prepare a Biryani without the use of cardamom seeds in it. Moroccans prefer mixing it with sweet drinks while Egyptians prefer having it directly and treat it as a type of mouth freshener.
